Rescuing HERMIT CRABS From ABUSIVE BEACH MARKET!! (SAD)
In this video I rescue HERMIT CRABS from a very abusive, neglectful, and endangering BEACH MARKET! Hermit crabs have many requirements and the way these stores sell them is mind blowing. They sell them from wire cages with no water or food, no substrate, no humidity, and pretty much nothing. Going to a beach you may have seen these being sold at different souviner shops, and maybe even purchased a few. The truth is, thousands are dying a year from this abuse cycle. It starts with the people who catch them in the wild (which is where 95% of them come from), breaking their shells, forcing them into these painted shells, and selling them at these stores providing no information and a cage where the hermit crab will suffocate and die within a few months. It is absolutely disgusting to watch this happen. The ones I rescued are very lucky, but the rest unfortunately will end up in a tiny cage living a terrible and painful short life. Please do not buy these hermit crabs and support these actions! I bought these guys because I honestly couldn’t just do nothing. I also want to start a petition or something to stop this from happening but that will take a little time. Thank you everyone for your support!!
