What the designer has to say about the “Bonding Mitts”:
So I have been talking a lot about the Bonding Mitt that I made. I have mentioned if you are a new glider parent or if you have a glider(s) that still crab and bite after bonding that the Bonding Mitt will help you, but I haven’t really gone into the detail of why it will help. I am sorry for that and hope to clear that up now.
The Bonding Mitt will change your bonding experience because it changes behavior in the sugar gliders. By wearing the Bonding Mitt you remove part of the fear and stress they are feeling that causes them to crab and bite. The Bonding Mitt covers you hand removing the appearance of a big claw coming at them. Also, because they are so soft it is comforting to the gliders, like being next to one of their own. With continued use it gets a build up of their scent and yours, making it a shared item.
The Bonding Mitt was not designed as a protective covering for your hands, even though by default it does offer some protection. If it were just about protection you could go by gardening gloves at a discount store. The change in your gliders is what is special about the Bonding Mitt. I know it might seem hard to believe that it could effect that much change in those scared little creatures we love, but over and over I hear the same results from people who get it and try it.
My wife and I still wear our Bonding Mitts every night during playtime. The boys love to jump to the Mitt like a little landing pad. They love sitting on them and sniffing around. They love chewing on the velcro or hanging upside down from the Mitt. I actually couldn’t imagine not having it now as it has become an integral part of our colony life.
I started making them to sell because I want everyone to have the best bonding experience that they can and the Bonding Mitt helps achieve that. If you have any questions or want to know more, just ask me. (Facebook link above for questions)

I am not a vet, I am not an expert. All of the statements in this video are my opinion only. Please consult your vet before making any decisions on your sugar glider’s care.

The No Sew Bra Pouch is made for use on your body only, and not to be left in the cage unattended 🙂 The side knots will stretch and create little holes that the gliders can get stuck in on the sides 🙂 I use them for bra bonding and holding in my lap only 🙂
