The common striped skunk! This was my first attempt at both capturing and handling this black and white animal. I’ll put to you this way, in a bear’s life how many skunk’s do you think he would consume in his life time?… the answer is simple!
Having been sprayed several times by my little black and white friend, it wasn’t long until I noticed that the scent wasn’t just a short term effect, rather it was a chemical which had absorbed into my skin and was now very much apart of my scent.
Over a week later I still smelled like a Skunk bomb, everything I touched, wore and ate now started to smell like skunk, and seriously the scent was now starting to psychologically effect me, try walking into a store smelling like Pepe Le Pew… not good.
The answer to the question how many skunks does a bear eat in his lifetime… the answer is… one.
Survival is all about learning from your mistakes.
