Bobby and Poncho won the IPRA Contract Act Showcase – Dress Class during their International Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City in January. It was a wonderful experience and we made some new friends.

In 2013, Bobby placed 2nd and 3rd in the Mustang Million. He and Poncho were guests on Good Morning America promoting the NatGeo Wild mini-series Mustang Millionaire, were Bobby was a featured cast member.

In 2015 & 2016, Bobby was nominated in the top five for PRCA Specialty Act of the Year.

Bobby is the 2016 NFR Specialty Act.

Poncho
Poncho is a 6-year-old mustang captured in Callaghan Range, Nevada.
In May of 2011, Bobby went to pick up the two mustangs that he had adopted and realized that the gelding was not available because of injury. The Mustang Heritage Foundation offered a replacement horse, Poncho. Bobby was not very impressed with him but decide to take a chance on him. Right away, a bond was formed and Poncho became part of the family. Bobby does not think he could have gotten a better horse. He believes he is a gift from God. This little mustang has quite the personality and has been a lot of fun.

Poncho did very well in the 2011 Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover, placing 4th in the finals, and he was voted Fan Favorite with twice as many text votes as anyone else!

In the last year he has performed to standing applause at:
Mustang Magic, Ft. Worth Stock Show, Ft. Worth, TX
Road to the Horse, Murfreesboro, TN
Several rodeos around Central Texas
IALHA National Championship and Foundation Celebration, Ft. Worth, TX

Maypop
Maypop is a 6 year old mustang captured in Tobin Range, Nevada.

After picking up Maypop from Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma and starting the bonding process with him, Bobby became alarmed at the unusual aggressive kicking that Maypop displayed when he was startled by something coming up behind him. Scar tissue in both eyes limited his vision and so he would kick out at anything he was not sure about. That is how he got his name, because he “may pop ya” if he was startled. Since then Maypop has become the perfect horse through bonding and the special trust that he developed with Bobby. He is willing and gentle and an special part of our family.

Bobby and Maypop won the 2012 Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover and were voted Fan Favorite.
