This is Manxi. She is a blind kitty living at Blind Cat Rescue.
She lost her sight because of high blood pressure. If your cat suddenly over night goes blind RUSH TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!! Insist that they check your cats blood pressure (this is not something that vets do automatically) IF caught fast enough and IF treated quickly your cat may regain their sight. Treatment is very simple, a pill that is not expensive.
Hypertension in a cat can cause the same problems it causes in humans. blindness, kidney disease, heart disease, circulatory problems. It is something to be taken very very seriously!
