In 1975 Bobby Pickett recorded a novelty spoof on Star Trek called “Star Drek” with Peter Ferrara, which was played on Dr. Demento’s radio show for many years. (In 1992 ‘misterdavep’ added this video using two VHS VCRs, an old cassette tape recording from the Doctor Demento show, and a handful of Star Trek episodes recorded off the air.) Because the SNL John Belushi parody aired in 1976, “Star Drek” may be the first ST spoof ever made.
